Life Capacity ™ Mental Health Simulation Game – Suicide Prevention

How do we have honest, courageous conversations about mental health and suicide—without causing harm or shutting people down?

CATEGORY: Mental Health

LENGTH: 3 hours

Life Capacity™ is Imagine Institute for Learning’s experiential response to this question. This immersive mental health simulation invites participants to explore how life experiences, trauma, resilience, privilege, and relationships shape mental health across a lifespan. Through guided play, participants step into the lives of individuals from diverse backgrounds, navigating significant life events that influence physical health, mental wellbeing, coping capacity, and longevity. There is no winning or losing—only reflection, empathy, and learning. As life stories unfold, participants encounter both protective factors and risks, including experiences of loss, adversity, and, in some cases, suicide. The simulation creates a safe, facilitated space to examine complex mental health realities and to practise courageous, compassionate conversations about prevention, intervention, and human vulnerability.

Statement of Gratitude and Honouring Lived Experience
The training opportunities we offer have been made richer because of the generosity of the many individuals who shared their lived experiences with us and, in turn, gave us permission to share them with you. We are profoundly grateful to them for trusting us and believing their voices can help transform lives.
