Human-Centred Training That Moves from the Head to the Heart

At Imagine Institute for Learning, we help people who work with people turn compassion into action.

Every training we offer is human-centred, trauma-informed and designed to meet participants exactly where they are. There’s no one-size-fits-all formula—every session is custom-built to reflect your organization’s needs, goals and realities.

We do more than deliver information. We activate knowledge.

Through experiential learning, storytelling, and play, participants move through three dimensions of growth: KNOW, DO, BE.

Our facilitators translate evidence-based research into practice so learners walk away not only understanding new concepts, but ready to apply them with confidence, care and connection.

How We Work

Our training experiences are built on trust, curiosity and co-creation.

We begin by meeting with you to understand your goals, context and challenges. From there, our Training Manager recommends a customized learning pathway drawn from our Training Catalogue or we can design a new one just for you.

Each training is interactive and experiential. You can expect:

  • Brave spaces for reflection: “What does this mean for you? How could this look in your work?”
  • Story-driven learning: We weave neuroscience and emotion together through stories that help ideas stick.
  • A balance of heart and play: We hold space for both seriousness and lightheartedness because play has great capacity to connect learning in meaningful ways.
  • Relational safety: Our facilitators model empathy and curiosity, inviting every participant to feel seen, heard, and valued.

Whether online or in person, our goal is to transform training into a shared experience that strengthens individuals, organizations and communities.

I see you.

I hear you.

I understand you.

I love you.

Training & Support

Imagine’s offerings are organized into four interconnected areas. Each can be tailored for organizations, communities or professional networks across Canada.

In-Person and Virtual Training

We deliver interactive sessions for teams, networks and communities in Alberta and across Canada. Virtual trainings are hosted live on Zoom—never pre-recorded—so we can support participants in real time.

Community Engagement

We help communities connect across sectors through facilitated conversations, storytelling and shared wisdom frameworks. These sessions build collective understanding and promote mental health, equity and resilience across systems.

Conferences & Keynotes

Our team regularly designs and delivers keynotes, learning immersions and breakout sessions that bring trauma-informed, human-centred practice to life. Each presentation is tailored to your event’s theme, audience and desired impact.

Organizational Support

Beyond training, we help organizations embed trauma-informed principles into their culture. This includes leadership development, psychological safety workshops and customized frameworks that align your team’s policies, language and daily practices with human-centred values.

The Imagine Experience for Participants

When you attend an Imagine training, you can expect to feel both supported and challenged.

We invite participants to lean into the discomfort that often accompanies growth. Through play, reflection and dialogue, learning goes from abstract to embodied.

You can expect:

  • Research-based content grounded in lived experience
  • Tools you can use immediately both inside and outside of work
  • A learning environment that bridges head and heart
  • A renewed sense of confidence, purpose and connection

Our sessions are intentionally small to maintain psychological safety and maximize participation. When possible, we include follow-up supports or reflective tools to help learning take root within your team or community.

To take part in Imagine’s virtual trainings, participants should have:

  • Latest version of Zoom
  • Cameras on as much as possible
  • Private workspace or headphones
  • Working microphone
  • Willingness to engage in discussion

No we do not. Our trauma-informed and human-centred approach requires real-time, synchronous facilitation to ensure we can support our participants in their learning experience.
